Schiopetto: Friuli, Italy

Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio, DOC Collio

A French vine grown on hills, on medium marly soil. It produces small bunches with round fruits grayish and red in color. The manual harvest and the soft pressing are followed by a brief period of aeration with no presence of sulfur dioxide. The wine also remains on its yeast for 8 months. Yellow in color with light reflections. The wine offers intense, warm and fragrant sensations of exotic fruits and acacia flowers.

2006 Vintage Reviews
“Very subtle, with lemon, pineapple and papaya aromas that follow through to a full-bodied palate, with fresh acidity and a minerally, appley finish. Balanced and flavorful.” 90 Wine Spectator, February 2008
