LB Vintage Character
Noval’s classic “Vintage Character” port is from top quality grape varieties, and displays rich fruit, a fine bouquet and delicate palate. Tinta Roriz, Touriga Francesca and Tinta Barroca are the primary grapes, with 40% of the grapes coming from the estate and 60% from traditional suppliers of “A” category grapes. 40% of the grapes are trodden by foot in lagares, and 60% are vinified by pump-over in stainless steel. The wine is aged 4 to 5 years in big oak vats before a final blending and bottling. LB Vintage Character has an intense dark purple color, with a complex nose that shows youthful fruit and a raspberry character. It is full, rounded and well-structured, with a full-bodied elegance and lasting finish.
