Errazuriz: Aconcagua Valley, Casablanca Valley and Curico Valley, Chile

Chardonnay Estate

Chardonnay Estate, Casablanca Valley

The grapes come from the Casablanca Valley where cool sea breezes from the Pacific Ocean and abundant sunshine create perfect ripeness and balanced acidity, making it Chile’s premier white wine region. The grapes are hand-harvested, partly barrel-fermented and “aged sur-lie” for up to three months in stainless-steel tanks for complexity. The wine is ripe and dry with white peach and melon fruit characters and a touch of butterscotch.

2005 Vintage Reviews
“Ripened to a brioche and gingerbread sweetness, this Chardonnay speaks of a warm year in Casablanca. The ripe white peach flavor is lifted by crisp acidity. The right choice for roasted chicken.” 88 Wine & Spirits, February 2005
