Alma Rosa: Santa Rita Hills, California

Pinot Gris Santa Barbara County

Pinot Gris Santa Barbara County, Santa Barbara

Crisp-textured, spry of character with a vivacious and up-beat personality, this is a wonderful wine with a pleasant edginess in its floral-citrus fruit profile. One sip leads to the next. In order to preserve freshness this wine did not undergo malolactic fermentation.

2006 Vintage Reviews:
"The acidity on this fine wine makes your mouth water, giving a clean bite to the pineapple, orange, sweet cream, honeysuckle and cinnamon-spice flavors. The balance of tartness and sweetness is what makes the wine so appealing." 88 Wine Entusiast, September 2008

"Smoky petrol notes add complexity, with intense, fleshy pink grapefruit and peach flavors that have a nice tang of acidity on the finish." 87 Wine Spectator, June 2008

2005 Vintage Reviews:
“Clean and flinty, with a mix of tangerine and nectarine flavors that are delicate and refreshing.” 87 Wine Spectator
